Ellinor Frövenholt
Songwriter / Producer / Artist“I can be inspired by almost anything — artists like Sharon Van Etten and Florence + The Machine, but also close friends, people I see on the subway, or the atmosphere of a new city. People who feel alive, who dare to push boundaries and create something new.”
Ellinor Frövenholt grew up in Malmö and has been on a stage since she was six, when she signed herself up for the school music festival and came off it euphoric. She has not stopped since.
Singing and playing turned into writing her own songs, then music upper-secondary, then a move to Stockholm and time in professional studios alongside working musicians and producers. The need that put her on that first stage — to say something musically — is still the engine.
Inspiration arrives from almost anywhere: artists like Sharon Van Etten and Florence + The Machine, but just as readily close friends, people she passes on the subway, or the atmosphere of a city she has only just arrived in. What catches her is people who feel alive and dare to test where the edges are.
What she wants from her own music is a sense of homecoming and belonging — something that strikes a different chord in each listener, and that travels: in the car, on an evening walk, or at a party.
